To All our members, we have thought sharing with you some useful information on matters SEC has been working on, and
Inline Hockey Members Update - February 2016
As you are probably aware the 2016 State Titles are planned for Monday 14th March at the Blackwood Recreation Centre.
(refer to our Facebook page for further details).
A referee’s course is currently being planned and registrations are currently open. (refer to our Facebook page for further details).
Additionally fund raising money is now being allocated to all players who attended last years 2015 National Championships in Logan, Queensland. If you have not yet been contracted please email the ILHSA Treasurer on email@example.com.
Applications are now being called for the State Coaches and Managers for the 2016 National Championships in Moe, Victoria. Applications close on 12 Feb’16. Please apply for these roles as without these key positions being filled, some teams may not be viable.
It has been decided that 2016 State teams will travel to Victoria by road. We are still reviewing the best option which may include traveling on smaller team buses or perhaps using a larger interstate bus to Victoria and then pick up team buses upon arrival. Players will again have the option to use their own transport if preferred.
Accommodation for the 2016 Nationals has been arranged. We are staying at the Rawson Village Holiday Camp and have secured the Silvan & Cardinia Ensuite Lodges. We have access to a large function/recreation room and a self-catered central kitchen.(refer to www.rawsonvillage.com for further details).
We can also advise that this year arrangements for meals has changed. We are very pleased to announce that Gary Ng has agreed to be our team chef and he will run a central kitchen. Junior team managers will work closely with Gary for the provision of all meals. Senior teams will as in previous years have the option to arrange their own meals.
SEC are also reviewing State uniform suppler options to secure the most competitive price.
Fundraising is also being planned. (3) Bunnings BBQ have already been confirmed and we are hoping to increase our wine sales in 2016 from (2) to (3) pallets. These have proven to be excellent money raisers but we have never had both together, so we are excited at the possibilities.
SEC is also considering any suitable financials grants that may be available.
