Skate Australia has completed the first step in it's governance development plan with the appointment the Skate Australia Board Nominations Committee.
Independent Chair Maree Taylor's recent roles include Chief People & Culture Office at Nbn Australia and Executive GM Human Resources & HSE at Origin Energy.
Member Representative David Guest OLY is a sports management professional, lifelong skateboarder and Olympian (Hockey 2008).
They join Tim McGrath (Skate Australia Director and Governance & Integrity Lead at Tennis Victoria) to lead the recruitment of new Directors and Committee members through 2022 as we progress our 2022-24 governance modernisation plans.
Skate Australia Executive Director, Ariane de Rooy, said "We're delighted with the high quality of experienced professionals keen to lead and support Skate Australia through our next phase of development. It's a big challenge, but an exciting one.
As both a recreational activity and group of competitive sports, skate is growing fast and has a lot to offer to people from all walks of life.
