Speed Skaters Race Into Queensland for 2022 National Championships

Following a successful campaign at the European Speed Skating Championships, Australia's top speed skaters will gather in Brisbane this week for the 2022 Speed Skating National Championships.

Both indoor track and outdoor road events will feature across distances ranging from 100m sprints through to the 42km marathon. Skaters will compete in all age groups from U/12s through to Masters 60+.

Road events will be held on Monday 4th July to Tuesday 5th July at Albert Bishop Park, Nundah, followed by indoor track events at Logan Metro Sports Centre, Crestmead on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th July.

Skaters will also have the opportunity to 'have their say' and input to the new Skate Australia Strategic Plan at several community forums scheduled at Norths Devils Rugby League Club, adjacent to Albert Bishop Park, on Wednesday 6th July. Full details are available at www.skate.org.au

The Speed Skating National Championships are open to the public and entry is free. The full program of events is available here.
