Selection Policy and Nomination Process

Selections for WST events are made in accordance with the Skate Australia’s Skate Australia Skateboard High Performance Selection Policy and the relevant Selection Criteria for each selection opportunity and discipline.

To be considered for selection skateboarders must;

​

• Meet the requirements of clause 6.7 of the Selection Policy, including being a current member of Skate Australia;

• Be 13 years of age or older or turning 13 during the 2025 calendar year; and 

• Submit an application following the process outlined in the selection criteria for the relevant event (skateboarders who are offered a named quota place are not required to submit a nomination).

Applications close on Tuesday 22 April 2025.

Information about Skate Australia support available to attend the event will be communicated by email.

Please note: as of 1 April 2025, World Skate are yet to release 2025 WST minimum criteria, nation and extra quota allocation processes. If any new information necessitates changes to the Selection Policy and/or Selection Criteria, changes will be communicated promptly.
